Tracing the Threads of History and Fantasy

The Forgotten House

The Forgotten House

Strange, moss-covered trees, enormous brambles and a persistent mist surrounded the house at the outskirt of the woods. By appearances alone, not the most welcoming place. On the porch stood its current occupant, a pale woman in a wine red gown, at her side a tall black dog. And what was that in the strange cylinder that seemed to float beneath her hand?

Alright, now its time to get spooky, with the Fantasy Witch’s House from Nocturna Deed for We Love Role-Play as the centerpiece. The house comes in a convenient rezbox that makes it easy to setup and place. There’s a whimsical spookiness to the design and plenty of room for decorating inside. On the outside, I mixed items from Fundati, Lore and Botanical to get a creepy forest feeling.

The beautiful gown is by the Muses, a high-waisted and high-necked design suitable for a variety of fantasy and role-play outfits. You will find that at WLRP as well, together with the Cindy skin from Poema as well as the floating reliquary from En Pointe which comes with several options for what bones to have within it.

Finally, we have the Teeglepet Classic Doberman, which was released at the Dog & Pony Show and hopefully should be in the Teegle mainstore now or at least soon.

Shades of Sand

Shades of Sand

I love how the colours of this came together, all very warm and earthy. That gorgeously sexy little thing I am wearing is Kamille from Tres, available exclusively at We Love Role-Play. Kamille supports a nice range of bodies (here I am using the athletic Khara body from Inithium) and comes in 9 different colours and patterns. Each can also be either opaque or sheer and of course I had to experiment with the sheer version. I just love the look of it, not the least from the back.

I’ve got two other WLRP releases on display here. The major one is the Oasis decor set from Lore, which includes a well, a variety of pots, a bench and the whole surrounding enclosure. Wonderfully earthy and realistic textures and a great set for building a desert village centered around a vital well.

The pot I am carrying on my head, however, is from Lorien and includes a holding animation which I adjusted somewhat to go with this pose.

In the Trenches

In the Trenches

I had not expected to do another decor only post so quickly, but I really wanted to blog one of the recent releases from Fanatik and the “avatar inclusive” idea that I had been working on did not pan out! However, this is definitely proving to be a fun way of doing something new with my SL photography so I don’t mind at all.

The focus of this post, then, is the Trenches set by Fanatik, a collection of deep trenches supported by wooden structures.

Contemplating Revenge

Contemplating Revenge

Sometimes, it is best to plan your revenge carefully. Why not while lounging comfortable in bed, for example? The Revenge dress from lassitude & ennui for We Love Role-Play initially had me looking a “tougher” poses, but then I tried out this set from Diversion for La vie en pose and this one caught my eye. After all, revenge is supposed to be a dish best served cold, and then you’ll have plenty of time to plan and contemplate how to go about it.
