A Traveller’s Welcome

A Traveller’s Welcome

For the weary traveller passing through the countryside, an inn is a welcome sight. And within, there might be more on offer than just food and drink…

We Love Role-Plays April round is open and full of great new releases. NOT, however, the updated version of the Tavern Aris from Del-ka Aedilis Rome Series, that is a mainstore release. But I thought it was a nice build for featuring three of the new items from WLRP. First, the Octavia Dress from Rakshasa, which is a very versatile Roman-inspired outfit that can be worn either short or long and with several different options for the top. There’s also a matching leather breastplate, which I left out of this version. Here, I went for a saucy serving wench in the short version, the colours a bit earthy. I matched that with the Eva arm & thigh bracelets from Antaya and gave those a coppery metal look rather than something more expensive. Finally, I used decor from PROPS!, a brand that I have not come across before. They have a nice set called Crossroad Inn at WLRP, which among other things include tables, benches, candles and pitchers. There’s also a hearth and some wall panelling, which I did not make use of here.

The hair I am wearing is a Truth Collective release from Truth and Wasabi, a sassy shoulder-length style with four different styling options.

The tavern itself features an open main area accessible from three sides. On the right side there is an anex that contains three individual rooms that can be used for a variety of purposes.

Art Show

Art Show

The latest releases from Fanatik all revolve around the gorgeous Nautilus build, a large Art Deco space which makes glorious use of PBR textures. To furnishing this build, Fanatik has also released a set of props, a set of displays and a set of frames. I have used just some of these pieces to setup this scene, but there is plenty more, including some lovely counters for creating different spaces within the build. This could definitely function as a very unique store build, especially given the matching displays and frames, but there are many other options for it too.

The lounger is from DICTATORSHOP, the Ladies’ Chaise in Adult Vanilla from the classically elegant Heritage series. It has over 300 animations and a ranger of options for leather, wood and metals. The single sits and lays include some very useful animations for photography.

I am still wearing the new Nar Mattaru skin and showing quite a bit of it in this body suit from Petrichor & Ersch. I felt like the design blended well with the Art Deco theme and I coloured it up in green and copper, but you have so many options to choose from. The hair is once again Wasabi, now a very sexy shorter style with just the right amount of wisps around the face.

The Marquise’s Pet

The Marquise’s Pet

The Kayra outfit from Ruxy is quite deliciously daring and would be an excellent choice for a dancer or slave girl, or perhaps in a harem. Here, I set up the revamped Marquise armchair from Libertine in Fanatik’s Dungan castle, which comes with the fireplace in the background. The Marquise chair comes in Mature and Adult versions and includes quite a few solo poses as well. It is also texture change, offering Libertine’s usual range of colours.

Adding a touch of mystery is the ornate face mask from Nefekalum, which includes both left and right halves. I liked the way it looks with the long and luscious Everleigh hair, which is a new Truth Collective style from Truth and Wasabi.

High Seas Adventures

High Seas Adventures

With the No_Anchor style from No.Match, you are ready to set sail and embark on a high seas adventure. Out not at We Love Role-Play, the style includes both male and female fits and a hud for customising the textures of the rakish hat. The Ephiane tunic from Senzafine is also available at the event, as are the Florence boots by Evil Baby. I admit, those are a bit more Victorian high fashion than high seas, but who says a pirate can’t be stylish?

The ship is my old favourite, Neptune’s Revenge from Rustica, sailing the tropical seas of Kingdom of Islands landscape by Landscapes Unlimited.
