Tracing the Threads of History and Fantasy

The Herald

The Herald

The Gothic Patio from Nocturna Deed looks fantastic in PBR lighting with the pool of water and the statues at either end of the pool. This kind of space invited something dramatic and I ended up using the spectacular accessories from Nefekalum (the Ferryman’s Crown) and Angelicus (the I am coming staff) to catch the light spilling into the space.  What is she doing there? Whether rising from the water or descending from the sky, she appears to be claiming this space for herself in defiance of the angels guarding the pool.

The short dress with the beautiful embroideries is called Eloise and it is by the Muses and you will find all of the above at We Love Role-Play, at a discount of between 15% and 30% compared to the standard price.

The hair, however, is another Truth Collective release from Truth and Wasabi, a short wavy style with bangs that frames your face very prettily.

Metallic Mirage

Metallic Mirage

Lore has a fantastic set out at We Love Role-Play that makes gorgeous use of PBR. An evening scene and some lighting seemed like a good choice for highlighting the textures. Just look at the table in the light from the oil lamp and of course the couch looks like it has metallic threads woven into the design. This is the PG version of the couch, which includes a nice selection of single animations as well as a couples menu.

I am also really fond of the combination of the Edera tattoo from Juna, which wraps you in leaves and vines, and the Moonlace lingerie from Project, as it is sheer and shows the tattoo design through it. The vines come in four shades and are also tintable for maxium versatility.. The Moonlace lingerie includes a HUD with a large selection of colour options.

I am also wearing a beautifully ornate necklace from Pendulum, which is also out at WLRP. However, I completely forgot to do a good close-up of it, so I will just have to show it again in a later post.

A House of Healing

A House of Healing

One of the buildings in the new Rome Series from Del-ka Aedilis is the Hospital Celsus, a combined residence and hospital for a medicus or healer.  The build features a beautiful garden, for relaxation as well as for growing medicinal plants, flanked by barracks with rooms for patients. At the end is a two-story building serving as a residence for the medicus. The build features PBR textures and the light from the fires illuminates it beautifully.

For a suitable outfit, I decided to make use of the newest release from Rakshasa for We Love Role-Play. The Fineas Camisk is…well, part of a Greek or Roman outfit, with a draped cloth that covers half the body and leaves the rest bare. In contrast to the rich fabric, it is tied with a rope that is matched by the ropes around the wrists. There are also matching laced sandals and those as well as the outfit are available for both male and female avatars. We’ll just say that the medicus of this hospital may believe in a bit of sexual healing as well. ;)

My hair is a brand new release from Raven Bell for the Engine Room. With the floral ornaments removed, I thought it could pass for a Romanesque style. Either way, it is a very pretty updo.

The Marquise’s Pet

The Marquise’s Pet

The Kayra outfit from Ruxy is quite deliciously daring and would be an excellent choice for a dancer or slave girl, or perhaps in a harem. Here, I set up the revamped Marquise armchair from Libertine in Fanatik’s Dungan castle, which comes with the fireplace in the background. The Marquise chair comes in Mature and Adult versions and includes quite a few solo poses as well. It is also texture change, offering Libertine’s usual range of colours.

Adding a touch of mystery is the ornate face mask from Nefekalum, which includes both left and right halves. I liked the way it looks with the long and luscious Everleigh hair, which is a new Truth Collective style from Truth and Wasabi.
